a week of accomplishments.

first up, i passed another module for my acca.
and thats great as i can continue the modules i'm taking this term.
i had to ask a friend to look up my password for me as i totally forgot it.
i don't usually log on to the acca website thus i couldn't recall my password for it.
i finally got it and i was able to use the internet in my camp's library.
was really relieved when i saw my result.
felt great.
i love this feeling after you get what you worked hard for.

next would be the completion of my lifeguard course.
i had my bronze medellion test in the morning.
first was my CPR test and it went well.
however, there was some complication during the pratical test.

first was that i didn't hear the testers say "start" so wasted valuable seconds.
then i had trouble in the water as i didn't tie the shirt around my waist tight enough so it was coming off during my 50m swim to the victim.
then i had trouble untying the knot i had made to tow the victim.
so when i came in 4th in my detail, i was really disappointed.
and i nearly failed with the timing of 3mins and 5secs.
but i gotta be contented that i managed to pass.

and tomorrow the recruits pass out from the basic rescue training so there'll be a 2week camp break for me.
hopefully i will get to study more and work out a little more on my own time.

passed final theory!
driving lessons are going really well.
and now i've got my provisional driving license which enables me to finally take my practical lessons.
hopefully i'll be able to take my TP test by december.
that would be ideal.

another test is coming and its my bronze medallion(life guard).
did a trial test twice and passed on both occasions which helps my confidence.
haven't trained since those tests but how much can i deprove in 1week right.

and i'll be getting my results for my acca june examinations soon.
really hope i passed the paper that i took.
felt confident after the paper but still worried about it.

the army half marathon is coming up next week.
first time running 21km.
been training for it though never actually ran the whole distance and it's a little so late to do that now.
hoping it won't be a disaster like the mizuno run.
though i highly doubt it'll be as just collecting the stuff for the run today was quite efficent and organised.
so looking forward to a good run.

other than that, life has been alright.
revision is coming along well.
more time to hit the gym too due to the decrease in PT lessons in camp(recruits passing out soon).

a hectic 3days have passed for me.
i had an audit test to study for.
a swim meet to go.
and to top it all of, BM trainings.

it was made hectic as one training session, the swim meet and the audit test was on the same day.
therefore, i had to find every free time i could get to study.
BM training didn't help as it made me exhausted.

anyhow, all is over and i'm glad its over.

during BM training, my trainer took note of my swim meet which was to be held later in the afternoon.
so after half time of our training, he excused me from training.
instead of relaxing and all, i took my audit notes and had a good 2-3hrs of revision time.
i really wanted to do well in the test even though it was just a mock exam.

when we arrived at Home Team NS Bukit Batok for the swim meet, all my worries for the test seemed to go away.
i had fun during the meet.
cheering and giving support to your fellow teammates in their various events was fun.
my event was 2nd last which was the 4X50m breaststroke relay.

i wasn't exactly confident as i didn't know how to pludge into the water.
but i made it up for speed :P
i can say that i helped my team to catch up with the leader and gave our team a chance to take the lead ourselves.
our first swimmer disappointed so we played the catch up game most of the time.
however, it wasn't to be a fairy tale ending as the last swimmer didn't capture the lead and we got 2nd.

in the end, every event that the team took part in, we won a medal.
we did won the men's open(breaststroke), came in 2nd for 3events(4X50breast, 4X50 freestyle and 100m freestyle) and came in 3rd for the veterans.

after the prize presentations, we had a small reception and after that all of us made our way home.
i briefly came home to wash up and prepare to go to school.

the test was alright.
though i wished i had more time to revise and hoped i didn't had such a hectic day.
but it was all good in the end and quite happy i could answer quite a bit with confidence.
