its already the end of october.
just one more month till my exams.
why does time pass so quickly when you're having fun but when you're studying or doing something that doesn't involve fun, the clock just seems to run out of battery and tick so slowly.

anyway, i took a break from my studies and training during the weekend.
and it was much needed.
played for singapore swimming club squash again.
and its nice to have a winning streak at the moment.
played against siglap csc and won.
at least i know all my training is paying dividends.

during the game, i met an old teacher of mine from my primary school.
it was quite a suprise to find out that he played squash.
and people say its a dying game.
i hardly think so as everytime when there is a national competition, there is always so many people taking part in them.
there aren't as many participants in tennis or badminton, but it still doesn't indicate that squash is dying in singapore or in the world in that matter.

just last week, peter nicol who was world number 1 for 5 straights years came to singapore to play an exhibition match with another world class player, azlan who is ranked 14th in the world.
the pace of their game was just simply amazing.
it was exhausting just to watch.
unbelieveable shot making and some shots that i thought just couldn't be made.
even their warm up seemed like a normal training session to me.
but it was fun nonetheless.

went to MOS on sat night.
it was quite fun i must say.
though during the early hours of the party was not as nice as they only played techno/trance and retro music.
i appreciate all kinds of music, but its just not my cup of tea when i'm in a club.
around 2230, they opened the whole club and found my way to the r&b room.
i felt much better there and after a drink or 2, just partied! haha.
its really a nice feeling when you can just listen to the thumping music and let go, not giving a damn in the world, not worrying about how bad your dancing was. haha
around 2am or so, headed back home.
threw up and didn't have a good night's sleep.
just don't know why i can't hold my alcohol.
its weird since my dad and most of my uncles, cousins can drink a lot.

anyway, it was a good weekend for me.
but now i gotta get back to my trainings and my studies.

happy belated 18th birthday to me!

had a blast over the weekend.
celebrated my birthday over 3 days with friends and family.
it's nice to be remembered and appreciated.
it was also nice to hear from old friends whom i've lost contact through time.

my celebrations started on friday the 13th.
and boy was it interesting.
first i went for dinner with my dad, uncle and my cousin at this fancy western restaurant.
the food ain't too bad but it was small in portion, and we had to wait for 1 hr just to get food.
we didn't mind as we just had our little chats and 1hr didn't seem that long though my cousin was quite hungry so he got a little impatient.
after dinner, it wasn't enough.
all of us was still hungry so we decided to go to a nearby cafe to have chicken wings.
12 into our stomachs and then we were satisfied. haha
then my cousin and i TRIED to get into DXO.
but it was way to crowded so we just hanged out with friends outside DXO. haha
cousin got drunk.
it was fun to see him so high and nutty till he started puking. ugh
sent him home and that was that. haha

yesterday wasn't that adventurous.
had training in the morning, then my teammates took me out to VIVO city for lunch and haagen daaz.
lunch we had to eat KFC as you had to queue up just to get into the foodcourt.
tells you never to go somewhere on the opening day.
singaporeans will be singaporeans i suppose, always wanting to be the first to do/try stuff. haha
anyway, then we off to ICE CREAM!
i ordered cookie crunch and it was so rich that i thought i had a sugar rush.
then we just explored the area.
don't think its bigger than suntec or raffles place though.
the walkways on the 2nd floor was narrow so it was hard to walk around with so many people and quite a number of stores have yet to open.
the roof was a garden?
had a pond?
haha, but it had a nice view of sentosa though the haze did blur the view a little bit.

about 4, we headed our seperate ways and i went home to SLEEP.
was exhausted from walking all over the place combined with training in the morning.
had a SHORT nap and it was off to my grandma's place for fish head curry! yum.

so it was a fun birthday
one that i'll definately remember and a standard for my future birthdays
and thanks to all my friends for your well wishes and gifts!

what great timing

i got my enlistment letter today
gonna be enlisted on the 12th of dec
which is also the day i'm having my last paper
as i said, great timing

so i called the deferment department to ask if there was any way to delay my enlistment.
and thank God that i can just take my napfa, get a sliver or gold and then be able to skip the basic physical training.
i hope the person was right though.

oh, i'll not be enlisting into SAF but to SCDF.
fireman!
i knew u could be part of the police force, but didn't know you can also be part of the fire squad.

and another example of great timings, i'll be having training this saturday, tax test on SUNDAY and then another test on monday PLUS have to prepare for my napfa test on wednesday.

i couldn't ask for a more hectic week for now at least.

anyway, BIRTHDAY IS COMING!

GREAT TIMING!
