it was a case of "so close yet so far".
for the first time i was in the semi-finals of any squash competition.
and it looked like i could go all the way and take the title.
but how fate likes to twist your fairytale ending.
i lost to a better player, that much i'll admit.
it was more like a guessing game rather than a game of squash.
i just wasn't able to read his game and control the tempo of the game.
so now i just gotta concentrate on my 3rd/4th placing match which is this coming sat.
i'm not bitter about my defeat as it has been the closest i've come to a final.
so it does show that i'm improving in my game.
the people in the competition are very friendly and they've given me advice and tips on how i can improve and i'm very appreciative of that.
i guess i just have to keep on playing different players of different styles and calibre.
and of course train harder. haha
with coach, i feel i've improved tremendously.
fitness and reaction time are the obvious improvements.
though the speed of my development isn't as fast as i'm hoping but i'm unable to train everday.
so i have to make the full use of the sessions that i have with my coach during the weekends and my gym sessions on weekdays.
so next stop is the 3rd/4th placing and i'm hoping i can get 3rd.
and that would definately make me feel a lot better.
